An upper level low (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) is moving eastward with cold high pressure (Shaded “Arch” shape) moving in to settle over the Pacific Northwest. A frontal system has been pushed down at us from the northwest. Behind that front is cold Canadian air that will dry us out and give us the coldest temperatures of the season so far, particularly at night.
