Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is a “Warm Core Low ?” Here is the correct answer. A Warm Core Low is a low pressure area which is warmer at its center than at its periphery. Tropical cyclones exhibit this temperature pattern. Unlike cold core lows, these lows produce much of their cloud cover and precipitation during the nighttime. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

An upper level low will slowly migrate eastward through the Pacific Northwest continuing our wet weather. A frontal system moved through Oregon bringing more rain and then cooler temperatures. There will be a short break from the rain Tuesday. Then it’s back to wet weather. Another frontal system pushes in by the end of the week.
