Happy Halloween!

A Cold Front is pushing its way eastward through Oregon. Today starts off with a 60% chance of showers tapering off in the early afternoon and then, with any luck, it should be dry for the evening hours, only a 20% chance of a sprinkle. On the backside of this front the temperatures will cool down to the 30s. For trick-or-treaters or those going to the Duck game make sure you dress warm enough for the falling temperatures and possible sprinkle. At kickoff time the temperature should be in the upper 50s cooling into the 40s before the game is over. For the Beavers game it should be near 54 at kickoff time 1:00 PM and then warm to 58 and cool back down from there. Layers of clothing would be best so you can add on more as it cools down and the chance of sprinkles tapers down to about 20-30% by the game ends. Look for clouds and sun and a dry Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday with highs in the mid 50s low in the mid 30s Sunday and near 40 Monday and Tuesday.  A Cold Front that lingers offshore will move in on Wednesday bringing the chance of rain back at least through Friday. Snow/free air freezing levels will stay above the passes for the period.

Don’t forget his weekend Daylight Saving Time will end and we will return to Standard Time. That means at bedtime tonight (after football and/or trick-or-treating) you will have to turn your clocks back one hour (Remember Spring Ahead, Fall Back). The official change-over is at 2:00 AM Sunday if you are up that late.
