Upper level high pressure (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) moved away as low pressure followed close behind. A frontal system pushed into Oregon today bringing the chance of showers with it. Another upper level high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) will take over keeping most of the week dry. By Friday this frontal system will be approaching the Pacific Northwest. And, of course, a new frontal system will be located behind that one.
