Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is a “Percolation Path?” Here is the correct answer. A Percolation Path: In hydrologic terms, the course followed by water moving or percolating through any other permeable material, or under a dam which rests upon a permeable foundation. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

An upper level low pressure trough (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) still controls our weather and has kept the showers around as it sends another frontal system into Oregon. The parade of storms continues with this frontal system (position shown is Monday) as it moves in Sunday. Note: Don’t forget that this is the weekend when Daylight Saving Time begins. Remember to “Spring Forward” and turn your clocks ahead one hour at bedtime tonight. The official change occurs at 2:00 am Sunday. The Fire Department reminds you to check the batteries in your smoke detectors, CO2 detectors and Radon detectors if you have them.
