Tuesday turned out to be a nice day and today will be another one. After some morning fog or low clouds look for mostly sunny skies with the high reaching 60. Tonight will be partly cloudy and less cold the low in the low 40s. An upper level low pressure trough (shaded area) that’s offshore now will move closer and send a series of cold fronts toward us including one by Friday that will drop snow levels down to the passes. Look for rain Thursday and Thursday evening, then showers and breezy at night high 60 low in the mid 40s. Showers and cooler for Friday high in the low 50s. Rain will be likely Saturday the high barely reaching 50. Sunday through Tuesday will also be wet. Snow levels in the Cascades will drop to 4,000′ Friday, 3,500′ Friday night, 3,000′ Saturday, 2,500′ -3,000′ Saturday night, 4,000′ Sunday, then hovering right around pass levels Monday through Tuesday.

Don’t forget, here is my weekly weather quiz question. How fast do raindrops and snowflakes fall? You must give both and please use miles per hour as the measure. The first person to post the correct answer as a comment will win one free week of personalized forecasts tailored to their needs. Good luck.
