As the upper level low (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) to the south slides away to the east a high pressure ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) takes over keeping the rain away for a while. A frontal system will be sliding through the Pacific Northwest Sunday (position shown is Monday morning), but it looks dry and should only cool us off for Mother’s Day.
