Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. I’ll give you a definition and you tell me what I am defining. It is a warmer than normal period after the first frost in the Fall. What have I defined? Please place your answer as comment after the forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs, Good luck.

A  high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape in the jet stream) has brought sunshine to the Pacific Northwest and  is still keeping us warmer than normal..  A weak  frontal system offshore will move inland Wednesday, but should stay mainly to the North. That means it will not do much to change our weather either. Other disturbances will pass mostly to the North continuing the milder weather.

**Because weather forecasting is a combination of science, intuition, and timing there can be no absolute guarantees that individual forecasts will be 100% accurate. Nature is in a constant state of flux and sudden unexpected weather events can happen.
