Here is my weekly weather quiz question. I’ll give you a definition and you tell me what I am defining. It is a warmer than normal period after the first frost in the Fall. What have I defined? Please place your answer as comment after the forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs, Good luck.

A  high pressure ridge (shaded “Arch” shape in the jet stream over the Northwest) has brought sunshine to the Pacific Northwest and  is still keeping us warmer than normal..  A weak  frontal system offshore fell apart on the way to our area.  A frontal system will push through by early Sunday as an upper level low pressure trough migrates Eastward across Oregon. That will cool us down to more normal temperatures.
