Here is my weekly weather quiz question. I’ll give you a definition and you tell me what I am defining. It is a warmer than normal period after the first frost in the Fall. What have I defined? Please place your answer as comment after the forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs, Good luck.

A  high pressure ridge (shaded “Arch” shape in the jet stream over the Northwest) has brought sunshine to the Pacific Northwest and  is still keeping us warmer than normal..  A weak  frontal system offshore fell apart on the way to our area.  A frontal system will push through by early Sunday (position shown is on Monday) as an upper level low pressure trough migrates Eastward across Oregon. That will cool us down to more normal temperatures giving us a chance of precipitation.
