The upper level High Pressure Ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is slowly moving eastward ushering in an upper level trough of low pressure (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows on previous graphic) that is setting up offshore. Cooler moist air then moves inland from the coast.  A frontal system is on its way to bring us some cooler air and possible showers. By next Monday a cold front will be pushing into the Pacific Northwest.
