Here is your last chance to answer my weekly weather quiz question. I’ll give you a definition and you tell me what I am defining. It is a warmer than normal period after the first frost in the Fall. What have I defined? Please place your answer as comment after the forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs, Good luck.

A  high pressure ridge (shaded “Arch” shape in the jet stream over the Northwest) brought sunshine to the Pacific Northwest and  kept us warmer than normal. That will be changing, slowly. A trough of low pressure (the shaded “U” shape to the West) will be moving in behind the ridge. A frontal system will push through by early Sunday (position shown is for Monday) as the upper level low pressure trough migrates Eastward across Oregon. The chance of rain will also increase.
