Nobody posted the correct answer. Here is my weekly weather quiz question one more time. I’ll give you a definition and you tell me what I am defining. It is a warmer than normal period after the first frost in the Fall. What have I defined? I have defined “Indian Summer.” I’ll have another weekly weather quiz question for you starting next Monday. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs.

A high pressure ridge (shaded “Arch” shape over the Northwest) brought sunshine to the Pacific Northwest and kept us warmer than normal. That is changing, slowly. A trough of low pressure (the shaded “U” shape to the West) will be moving in behind the ridge. A frontal system (shown offshore) will push through by early Sunday as the upper level low pressure trough migrates Eastward across Oregon. The chance of rain will also increase.
