A  high pressure ridge (shaded “Arch” shape over the Northwest) is moving away from us and a trough of low pressure (the shaded “U” shape along the coast) is moving in behind the ridge. A frontal system pushed into Oregon today and another is right behind it. As the upper level low pressure trough migrates Eastward across Oregon the chance of rain will also increase for a while, then later in the week more high pressure returns the sunshine and warmer temperatures.
