More sunshine as High Pressure (“Arch” shape with blue arrows) continues to dry us out and keep us warm. It seems the next frontal system that has any chance to change our weather won’t be seen until Saturday. By Monday the frontal system is well East of us, so it looks like we’ll have a nice day for the 4th of July (actually the whole long weekend).

  • A RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY UNTIL 8 PM THIS EVENING FOR THE EAST SLOPES OF THE CENTRAL OREGON CASCADES, THE EAST SLOPES OF THE NORTHERN CASCADES, AND THE LOWER COLUMBIA BASIN OF OREGON.
  • A Blue-Green Algae health advisory has been issued for Howard Bay (sometimes called Howards Bay or Howard’s Bay) in Upper Klamath Lake. People should avoid swallowing water while swimming or inhaling water droplets as a result of high-speed water activities, such as water skiing or power boating, in areas where blooms are identified. Although toxins are not absorbed through the skin, people who have skin sensitivities may experience a puffy, red rash at the affected area.
