Aren’t you glad you listened to me and took the rain gear to the Duck game? It did start out partly cloudy and the sprinkles held off until 8:00 PM. Today and tonight the rainfall amounts in the Willamette Valley will be relatively light totaling about 1/3 of an inch, but Saturday and Sunday will see heavier rainfall amounts totaling between one inch and two inches. The coast and particularly the mountains could see much heavier amounts of rainfall.

_______________

An upper level upper level High Pressure ridge (“Arch” shaped area) is starting to move eastward away from us. An upper level trough of low pressure (the “U” shaped  area stretching down from over the Gulf of Alaska) is starting to change our weather and help send moisture with a cold front that passed through Oregon. Another frontal system will push through Oregon Sunday.

Advisories: A HIGH WIND WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE SATURDAY NIGHT NEAR THE BEACHES AND HEADLANDS FOR THE NORTH AND CENTRAL OREGON COAST. A HIGH WIND WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH LATE SATURDAY NIGHT FOR THE SOUTH CENTRAL AND SOUTH OREGON COAST.
