Here is this week’s weather quiz question. Hot air ballooning began on June 4, 1783 as two brothers demonstrated the first free balloon flight. Give me the last name of the brothers and for extra credit tell me where the flight took place. Please place your answer as a comment after the forecasts on this page. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

The upper level airflow has kept weather  very wet with bursts of windy. We are experiencing weak high pressure so it has calmed down, for today at least.  A new trough of low pressure moving in behind the ridge will bring a return to the wet weather. A frontal system will push through Oregon Thursday and yet another frontal system will move in Saturday. Be prepared for wet weather for Halloween. Keep your “Trick-or-Treaters” dry.
