An Upper level High (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) to our Northwest is still sending cold air down to us from Canada. Low pressure to the South combined to return the moisture to Oregon. The days 1-3 graphic shows  surface low and frontal system that moved Southward along the Pacific Coast and then inland to our South adding moisture to the cold air creating our snow storm. The graphic for days 3-7 shows the frontal systems that will be headed our way Saturday through next Wednesday.  For mountain snow conditions at the local ski areas check out their websites or give them a call.
