An upper level trough of low pressure will continue pushing waves of moisture and cool air our way. Another cold front will move through today keeping us wet. Look for rain this morning and likely (60% chance) this afternoon with a chilly high of 46 and a 30% chance of showers at night low near freezing. It looks like a big break for Saturday with morning clouds, sun, and fog then mostly cloudy for the afternoon high 47. Saturday night a 30% chance of showers returning low 37. That means it will be quite chilly for the Beavers game at 12:30 PM, but dry. It will be very chilly and possibly wet for the Ducks game at 7:20 PM. Sunday a 40%-50% chance of rain, then Monday Monday night through Wednesday look for a 60%-70% chance of rain highs in the low 50s lows in the low 40’s. The coast will be wet with highs in the low 50s and lows near 40.
In the Cascades there will be 3-6″ of snow today and the snow level will be at 2,500′ this afternoon. There will be up to 2″ additional snow tonight with the same snow level. A free air freezing level of 2,500′ rising to 3,000′ Saturday with no precipitation and a snow level 2,500′-3,000′ at night as the rain/snow return. The snow level will go back up and stay above pass levels Sunday through Monday night. Snow levels will be back at and then below pass levels Tuesday through Thursday. Willamette Pass and Hoodoo are both hoping to open for Thanksgiving. Keep your fingers crossed!
