An upper level trough of low pressure (“U” shaped shaded area) is moving Eastward and will keep sending waves of moisture at the Pacific Northwest. A strong frontal system will be approaching the coast Thursday. All of this adds up to wet and cool weather for a while, but next weekend has the potential of being dry as high pressure takes over.
