Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is “An Aquifuge?” Here is the correct answer.  An Aquifuge in hydrologic terms, a geologic formation which has no interconnected openings and cannot hold or transmit water. I will have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. Please remember to post your answer at the bottom of this page. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs.  Good luck.

An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) has taken control of our weather again. A short-lived upper level ridge of high pressure (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows on previous graphic) will take over long enough to give us sunshine and warming temperatures for Sunday. The graphic for days 1-3 shows the frontal system (cold) that is moving through today. The warm front moved in first and now the cold front follows behind it. The graphic for days 3-7 shows the next complex frontal systems that will be moving through the Pacific Northwest next Tuesday and again Friday. For mountain snow conditions at the local ski areas check out their websites or give them a call.
