Here is this week’s weather quiz question. This is a very basic weather question. What is a “rain shadow?” For extra ah ha points how does it work in Oregon weather? Please place your answer as a post on this page after the forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

_______________

An upper level trough of low pressure (“U” shaped shaded area) is moving Eastward and a weak ridge of high pressure (“Arch” shaped shaded area) is clearing us up just a bit. another trough of low pressure  follows close behind bringing the rain chance back quickly. There may be a noticeable break of dry weather early Thursday just in time for the area Veterans Day parades, but I’d have the rain gear handy.
