An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is taking over for a very short time through early today, then another Upper Level Low (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) moves in. The graphic for days 1-3 shows the next frontal system that’s moving into the Pacific Northwest. The graphic for days 3-7 shows the next complex frontal system that will be moving into Oregon next weekend. - A HIGH WIND WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING FOR CENTRAL AND EASTERN LAKE COUNTY.
- A Permanent Health Advisory remains in effect for the South Umpqua River and Lawson Bar. Pools in the bedrock along the rivers edge are known to develop Blue-green Algae (cyanobacterial) blooms that can be harmful to pets and people if accidental ingestion occurs. Signs have been posted along several access areas along the river.
