Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is “ Astronomical Dawn?”Here is the correct answer. Astronomical Dawn is the time at which the sun is 18 degrees below the horizon in the morning. Astronomical dawn is that point in time at which the sun starts lightening the sky. Prior to this time during the morning, the sky is completely dark. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you Monday.  The first person to post the correct answer as a comment on this page will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs.  Good luck.

A short lived Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) dried us out for today, but an Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) will take over returning the chance of showers today. The graphics for days 1-3 show the frontal system bringing rain chances today and the next front approaching Monday. The graphics for days 3-7 show frontal systems moving into the Pacific Northwest Tuesday night and gain Thursday.

Note: Willamette Pass Ski is officially closed for the season and Hoodoo is open this weekend and then closed for the season. Check out their websites or give them a call.
