An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) that took over control of the Pacific Northwest weather bringing lots of sunshine and heat moved to the east to be replaced by a trough of low pressure (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows). The graphics for days 1-3 shows a frontal system that moved through Oregon cooling us down dramatically bringing in cooler and more moist marine air. The graphics for days 3-7 show the next major frontal system will move over the Pacific Northwest next Sunday and Monday.

Pools in the bedrock along the rivers edge are known to develop Blue-green Algae (cyanobacterial) blooms that can be harmful to pets and people if accidental ingestion occurs.
