A new week and a new weekly weather quiz question. Here is the new question. This one relates to our space program. What U.S. space vehicle was launched in 1973 and returned to earth in July of 1979? A hint: it wasn’t a “soft” landing. Please place your answer as a post after the forecasts on this page. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free of personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

A trough of low pressure has moved in behind the weak high pressure ridge that held off the rain for Thanksgiving. It is moving across Oregon. A frontal system moved South through California bringing the  precipitation back with it particularly to the South. We are in a space between storms that will keep our weather calmer for today. Another trough of low pressure will set up off shore and a frontal system will push through from the Northwest Wednesday bringing even more rain and snow with it.
