Upper Level High Pressure (Shaded “Arch” shape with blue arrows) is still in control producing sinking air the result of which is late night and early AM fog with freezing fog in many locations. An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) will move closer taking over for the High Pressure and enhancing the chance for precipitation by Friday. The graphics for days 3-7 show frontal systems starting to move toward and then across the Pacific Northwest Saturday through next Wednesday.

Note: The overnight air quality in Eugene/Springfield and Oakridge has become bad enough for a Red Home Wood Heating Advisory to be continued for yet another day.
