An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) has moved closer taking over from the High Pressure and enhancing the chance for precipitation. The graphics for days days 1-3 show the next frontal system that pushed through Oregon today. The graphics for days 3-7 show the complex frontal system move across the Pacific Northwest Friday bringing colder air and the threat of a dusting of snow above 1,000 ft. then another front moving in between late Monday (Christmas Day) and Tuesday morning.
