An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) has taken control as Upper Level High Pressure (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) weakens. The graphics for days days 1-3 show the next frontal system moving into Oregon today. The graphics for days 3-7 show no complex frontal systems approaching the Pacific Northwest between Christmas Day and next Friday.
