Here is my weekly weather quiz question. What is “Cryology?”  The first person to post the correct answer as a comment on this page will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs.  Good luck.

An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (Shaded “U” shape with blue arrows) continued to bring the wet weather. However, an Upper Level High Pressure Ridge tries to take over and cuts the precipitation chances down. The graphics for days 1-3 show the warm front that will be offshore Thursday morning. The graphics for days 3-7 show surface high pressure trying to keep the next frontal systems away from us until Sunday night into Monday.

Note: If the clouds clear enough tomorrow morning 1.31.18 it will be special. There will be a Full Super Blue Moon (2nd full moon in one month), a Blood Moon with orange to red tint to the moon,  and there will be a total Lunar Eclipse. The Eclipse will start at 3:48 AM PST concluding at 7:11 AM PST. For specific viewing times go to SpaceWeather.com
