That high pressure ridge has moved enough to allow a cold front to bring back the valley rain and mountain snow.

Advisories: For the South Coast: A HIGH SURF ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TODAY UNTIL 4 PM FRIDAY.

For the Willamette Valley on Thanksgiving : Partly cloudy with AM fog, just a slight (20%) chance of rain, then more clouds with rain likely by late afternoon high 56 and rain tonight low 41. Mostly cloudy showers likely (60%) Friday and a slight  (20%) chance of rain Friday night high 48 low 38. Look for a (40%) chance of showers Saturday with mostly cloudy skies and some AM fog, and a slight (20%) chance Saturday night high 47 low 36 . Patchy AM fog then mostly cloudy Sunday and Sunday night high 46 low 34 . Mostly cloudy Monday after patchy AM fog  high 49, then a (20%) chance of showers and a (30%) chance at night  low 36.  Tuesday will be mostly cloudy in the AM then a mix of clouds and sun high 45 partly cloudy at night low 35. There will be a mix of clouds and sun Wednesday high 45 low 37. For the Umpqua Basin and along the coast conditions will be about the same as the Willamette Valley.

For the Cascades: The  snow level will fall to 8,000? for your Thanksgiving day and then 7,000′ to 4,000′ after midnight (3-7″ of snow above 5,000′). The snow level falls to 3,000′ Friday through Saturday and 4,500′ Saturday night. Sunday and Sunday night the freezing level rises from 7,000′ to 8,000′ at night. Monday and Monday night it’s a  snow level of 7,000′, 6,500’Tuesday . Tuesday night  it’s back to a free air freezing level of  6,500′ rising to 9,000′ Wednesday. Locally both Hoodoo and Willamette Pass ski resorts will open for the season Friday the day after Thanksgiving for the Holiday weekend.
