Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is a “Degree Day?” Here is the correct answer. A Degree Day is a measure that gauges the amount of heating or cooling needed for a building using 65 degrees as a baseline. Electrical, natural gas, power, and heating, and air conditioning industries utilize heating and cooling degree information to calculate their needs. For more specific definitions and how to calculate degree days, see the definitions for Heating Degree Days and Cooling Degree Days. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday.  The first person to post the correct answer as a comment on this page will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.
