For the Willamette Valley : Showers will be likely (60% chance) this morning then partly cloudy with a slight (20%) chance of showers this afternoon high 50 partly cloudy this evening, then mostly cloudy with patchy fog and colder tonight low near freezing. Saturday with start off with clouds and fog then a mix of clouds and sun high 45, partly cloudy patchy fog at night low 36 . Patchy AM fog then clouds and sun again high 47 , partly cloudy at night low 34 . Some AM sun Monday after patchy AM fog then mostly cloudy high 50, then a (20%) chance of rain low 36. A mix of clouds and sun Tuesday high 45 partly cloudy at night low 35. There will be a mix of clouds and sun Wednesday and Thursday high 45 low 37. For the Umpqua Basin conditions will be about the same and along the coast it will be just a bit warmer the Willamette Valley.
For the Cascades: The snow level falls below pass levels through Saturday with 1-4″ of snow possible today. Sunday and Sunday night the freezing level rises from 7,000′ to 8,000′. Monday a snow level of 7,000′ then 5,000′ Monday night and Tuesday. Tuesday night it’s back to a free air freezing level of 5,500′ rising to 7,500′ Wednesday and 7,000′ Wednesday night and 6,500′ Thursday . Locally both Hoodoo and Willamette Pass ski resorts will open for the season today.
