__________
Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is a “Downburst?” Here is the correct answer. A Downburst is a strong downdraft current of air from a cumulonimbus cloud, often associated with intense thunderstorms. Downdrafts may produce damaging winds at the surface. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. The first person to post the correct answer as a comment on this page will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with arrows) weakens enough to allow onshore flow which will bring us more clouds. The graphics for days 3-7 show a frontal system sliding in between Tuesday night and Wednesday, then another frontal system pushes through Thursday night and Friday. Oh, and there will be another storm sitting well offshore by next Saturday.
