Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. What is a “Dry Thunderstorm?” The first person to post the correct answer as a comment on this page will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (Shaded “Arch” shape with arrows) tilts enough to bring cooler air to us from the north and northeast. No immediate chance of precipitation though. The graphics for days 3-7 show a frontal system pushing into California Wednesday then another front approaching the Pacific Northwest Saturday to move in next Sunday. There is even another frontal system located well offshore Sunday heading our way next week.
