Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is a “Geostationary Satellite?”  Here is the correct answer. A Geostationary Satellite is a satellite that rotates at the same rate as the earth, remaining over the same spot above the equator. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. The first person to post the correct answer as a comment on this page will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (Shaded “U” shape with arrows) is still in control keeping us in cool weather for a while. The graphics for days 1-3 show the cold front that will be pushing through on Sunday. The graphics for days 3-7  show a cold front well offshore Wednesday and another frontal system approaching next Saturday.

Note: It looks like it will be dry for the Duck game Saturday with only a slight chance of a shower.
