Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is the “Greenhouse Effect?” Here is the correct answer. Greenhouse Effect: Atmospheric heating caused by solar radiation being readily transmitted inward through the earth’s atmosphere but longwave radiation less readily transmitted outward, due to absorption by certain gases in the atmosphere.  I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. The first person to post the correct answer as a comment on this page will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

An Upper Level Low (Shaded “U” shape with arrows) moved in to bring us back to much cooler but normal Fall temperatures and the chance of showers. We will have a bit of a warmup, but not much. The graphics for days 3-7  show a frontal system approaching the coast Wednesday and moving through Oregon Wednesday night and Thursday.
