The upper air flow is bending more from the west (called Zonal flow) bringing in warmer, but still very moist air into the Pacific Northwest.  A frontal system , warm front first, will be pushing into Oregon and that will insure we will see a lot of rain. The enhanced satellite loop over 3 hours shows the moisture coming our way is moving in from the sub-tropics, otherwise known as the “pineapple express.” Remember that, particularly this time of the year, when it’s not raining it is usually fogging.
