Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. What is a “Gust Front?” The first person to post the correct answer as a comment on this page will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.
_______ _________
An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (Shaded “U” shape with arrows) is controlling our Fall weather pattern. The graphics for days 1-3 show the front approaching the coast today and it will move through Oregon Tuesday. The graphics for days 3-7 show a cold front moving southward through the Northwest Friday night into Saturday.
Note: Due to the continued fire danger, the outdoor burning season has been delayed until October 13th. The next update on the burning season will be issued at 7 pm October 12th. Remember, burning is always prohibited within the city of Eugene.
