Here is my weekly weather quiz question. What is an “Inversion? Here is the correct answer. Inversion(abbrev. INVRN) Is generally, a departure from the usual increase or decrease in an atmospheric property with altitude. Specifically it almost always refers to a temperature inversion, i.e., an increase in temperature with height, or to the layer within which such an increase occurs. An inversion is present in the lower part of a cap.

An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (“U “shape) is slowly moving southward over the Pacific Northwest. The graphics for days 1-3 show a the frontal activity approaching Oregon.  The graphics for days 3-7 show more complex frontal activity moving our way Wednesday through next Sunday giving us chances of getting wet.
