An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (“U” shape) is taking over, but the problem is that it will not be bringing a significant chance of rain with it, just cooler temperatures. The graphics for days 1-3 show no frontal activity over the Pacific Northwest. The graphics for days 3-7 Friday through next Tuesday show what little frontal activity will occur through the period until a cold front moves in between Friday and next Saturday. Then another cold front slides in just in time for Memorial Day Monday. Yet another front will be offshore to out northwest next Tuesday.

UNSAFE LEVELS OF FECAL BACTERIA CAN CAUSE DIARRHEA, STOMACH CRAMPS, SKIN RASHES, UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTIONS, AND OTHER ILLNESSES. CHILDREN, THE ELDERLY, AND THOSE WITH COMPROMISED IMMUNE SYSTEM SHOULD USE EXTRA CAUTION AS THEY ARE MORE VULNERABLE TO ILLNESS FROM WATERBORNE BACTERIA. POOLS IN THE BEDROCK ALONG THE RIVERS EDGE ARE KNOWN TO DEVELOP BLUE-GREEN ALGAE (CYANOBACTERIAL) BLOOMS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL TO PETS AND PEOPLE IF ACCIDENTAL INGESTION OCCURS. SIGNS HAVE BEEN POSTED ALONG SEVERAL ACCESS AREAS ALONG THE RIVER.
