Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. What is “NCEP”?

________________

An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough looks like it will be finally bringing some rain to the Pacific Northwest. The precipitation should decrease the intensity of the wildfire smoke which can still push into the Pacific Northwest from various areas depending on the wind direction. The graphics for days 1-3  show a cold front off the Oregon coast that fell apart. The graphics for days 3-7   Wednesday through Sunday show frontal activity through the period.
