Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What are “Noctilucent Clouds?” Here is the correct answer. Noctilucent Clouds are wavy, thin, bluish-white clouds that are best seen at twilight in polar latitudes. They form at altitudes about 80 to 90 km above the Earth’s surface.

An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge takes over with sunshine and warming temperatures. The graphics for days 1-3  show no frontal systems approaching the Pacific Northwest. The graphics for days 3-7  Tuesday through Saturday show a frontal system that moved through the Pacific Northwest Monday, then another on the behind it Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Eugene set a record High temperature of 87 degrees Friday.

Note: LRAPA has delayed the Fall Outdoor Burning Season until October 15th.
