It’s Monday and that means a new chance to win. Here is my weekly weather quiz question. What is a fire tornado? Please post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized  weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count. Good luck.

The jet stream shows a second trough of low pressure ( “U” shaped area over us) preparing to swing down about mid week. A frontal system is sliding down the California coast bringing precipitation with it. Another burst of cold air will hit mid week which could produce snow down to sea level and a frontal system late in the week  will bring more of the same.
