An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough  (“U” shape) is taking over bringing valley rain and mountain snow. The graphics for days 1-3  show the frontal system sliding into the Pacific Northwest Thursday. The graphics for days 3-7    Monday through Friday show the frontal system moving across the Pacific Northwest between Sunday and Monday and then another front offshore that pushes in next Thursday.
