Heavy rain fell in the Southern Willamette Valley Monday. Eugene set a record for the date with 1.75 in. of rain and I measured 1.65 in. of rain in my rain gauge at home.

The jet stream shows another cold trough of low pressure ( “U” shaped area) migrating Eastward across the Pacific Northwest. A cold front is headed through Oregon and rain and wind are moving ahead of and with the front. More frontal systems will be coming our way this week producing even more precipitation.
