Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. “What is  “Smog?” Here is the correct answer. Smog: Originally smog meant a mixture of smoke and fog. Now, it means air that has restricted visibility due to pollution or pollution formed in the presence of sunlight–photochemical smog.

The Jet Stream  gives us Zonal airflow (West to East) continuing the slow cooling trend over the Pacific Northwest.  The graphics for days 1-3  show a complex frontal system to our northwest Tuesday. The graphics for days 3-7    Wednesday through Sunday show a frontal system pushing through the Pacific Northwest between Wednesday and Thursday and another one following right behind it.
