Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is the “Solar Wind?” Here is the correct answer. Solar Wind is the outward flux of solar particles and magnetic fields from the sun. Typically, solar wind velocities are near 350 km/s.

____________

An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge continues the warming. The graphics for days 1-3  show no frontal systems sliding through Oregon through the period until a cold front slides in on Sunday. The graphics for days 3-7   Tuesday through Saturday show no frontal systems pushing into the Pacific Northwest through next Friday with a cold front to our northwest  next Saturday.

Note: It looks like we’re going to have really nice weather for the long Labor Day Holiday weekend.
