Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. What is a “Stationary Front?”

____________

An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (“Arch” shape) takes over replacing the Upper level Low Pressure Trough (“U” shape) that is moving southward away from us. The graphics for days 1-3  show a frontal system moving through Thursday.  The graphics for days 3-7   Saturday through Wednesday show no fronts sliding through the Pacific Northwest through the period, but a cold front will be to our north next Tuesday, then moving into Oregon next Wednesday.
