Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. What is a “Storm Surge?”

____________

An Upper Level High Pressure   is still in charge of our weather pattern, The graphics for days 1-3 show a cold front pushing through Oregon late Tuesday afternoon and evening.  The graphics for days 3-7   Thursday through Monday show a frontal system moving through the Pacific Northwest Friday and Friday night.A cold front will be offshore next Monday.

Note: Lane County residents will have to wait until Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the earliest for the opening of the fall outdoor burning season. The season is typically scheduled to start on October 1 each year. However, the decision to delay has been jointly made by the Lane County Fire Defense Board and the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF).
